on the Run coach, you get to experience the program first-hand, feel a sense of
accomplishment about making a difference in the lives of the girls, and have a
ton of fun! At the bottom of this page you will find a downloadable

Coach Job Description
Major
responsibilities include:
-
Prepare, organize, and supervise
the twice-weekly lessons.
-
Lead the participants through each lesson, and motivate the participants as they play games and run laps.
-
Serve as a role model to the girls by being on time, being organized, listening attentively, having a positive
demeanor and outlook, and leading a healthy lifestyle.
-
Mediate disputes among participants in a prompt and respectful manner.
-
Coach program participants onproper stretching, running form, hydration and sports nutrition.
-
Attend the Girls on the Run 5k with program participants and other volunteers.
-
Attend 2-4 coaches meetings withthe Director during the season.
-
Interact with guardians of participants.
-
Coordinate community service project for your group.
-
Coordinate the end of season celebration with your program participants.
-
Understand and believe in the mission of the organization, and exhibit characteristics that keep with the
mission.

Act as a spokesperson for the program.
-
Be your real self with the girls at all times and, above all, have fun with them!
Requirements:
-
CPR and 1st Aid certification.
-
Attend 6 hour GOTR of Silicon Valley coach training.
-
Background check through GOTR ofSilicon Valley.
